***The Contest is underway and we have several official challengers already. So come on, join the fun.***
We have extended the time to enter and upload to Monday July1st. Starting May 13th you may start entering the contest and uploading your walls. You can download your walls to the ArtRage Contest Category we have added to the downloads section.
You are allowed to enter 2 walls per person. Only one entry per person can win. In the event of a tie for 1st or 2nd place, we will put them up for a run off. Voting will be done by Skinnalicious members only
Ambient Design the company that makes ArtRage has donated our prizes. There is also a Mac version for any one who uses a Mac and would like to enter. You can still get your Demo copy of ArtRage here http://www.ambientdesign.com/artrage.html First place winner will receive a paid version of ArtRage plus a skinnalicious sub domain. Second place winner will receive a paid version of ArtRage.
We ask that you upload your wall in a resolution of 800x600 and in jpg format. We ask that you do not upload your wall to any other site until after the contest is over. Doing so will make the entry invalid.
Your wall can be anything you want to make as long as it doesn't have nudity or any thing offensive. And the wall must be made with the ArtRage painting program.
If you have any questions, please direct them to clwoods or starone at http://www.skinnalicious.net/. Good luck and have fun!

Z,if those are brush tests,
I've
even got to try this!
The first is quite good, and would probably be able to go on the wall here at the Art Museum!
Cindi, I guess I'll have to make a try at this, or at least let the kids do their thing!
My eight-yr-old son just got his work on the wall as Hon. Mention here...maybe I'll get w/him on this!
First things first: learning 'Publisher' for my daughter to get her term paper lined out...

I downloaded it. I will instal it and play around with it. Maybe even enter the contest. I also might show one of my potential clients this little program thingy. It might be useful for them.

What's a good resolution?
The TabletPC I use only has 1024x768 and that's teh resolution it's set at.
Should I change anything?
Should the upload be a *.ptg file or a *.ptg AND something else?

Zubaz, That is a very good question. I will edit the thread to reflect that if I am able to. The size you can make walls is not dependent on your monitor resolution. The resolution for the contest needs to be 800x600. The format can be the standard jpg, bmp, ect. When the contest is over you can upload your wall in any or all of the resolutions from 800 to 1600. We look forward to your entry!

This is hard.
I like really smooth walls . . . and ArtRage's focus is on natural brushes and canvas and such.
The trick (for me) is going to be something that shows off the tools in the free package without causing a distraction as a wall.
Grrrr!!! Whoose idea was this anyway?

Cindi you are right about the 800 X 600 resolution for the contest but the wall should be uploaded as a jpg.only for the contest. Also I would like to mention that a few days before the contest upload date we will create a place for the contest walls to be uploaded to.

So that answers the question of Zubaz
Should the upload be a *.ptg file or a *.ptg AND something else?
You will have to export your wall in Artrage to the JPG format
