AVG Free Edition Upgrade

Starting today anyone using the AVG Free Edition will have to upgrade to the new 7.5 version. As of yesterday all support and database updates ended for the 7.1 version.
Here is a link to the story and place where you can upgrade to the latest version so you can keep getting the much needed updates.

Been running the new version for awhile. They did cause some confusion when it was first announced that 7.1 support was ending. I wonder if it was a ploy just to get visits to their site. Surely no one would ever do something like that! There are several free virus detection/removal programs out there, AVG works for me and the price is right!

Anyone using AVG Free Edition knows from the many pop-ups that have come up every time it is updated... that's annoying, but now I have to upgrade...

Yes, but the pop up's were pointing towards a purchase as opposed to another free edition. I'm sure that some have been confused. Thanks.
